Why are you running?
After six years serving on the Wrentham Elementary School Committee, I am running for the King Philip School Committee to continue supporting our students as they advance through the district. With three children now in the KP system and deep roots in our community, I am eager to bring my experience, perspective, and commitment to the broader district.
Bio
As a member of the Wrentham Elementary School Committee, I have worked on budget oversight, contract negotiations, and the MSBA-supported feasibility process for the proposed new Roderick Elementary School. As a former elementary school teacher and the parent of three children in the KP district, I understand both the opportunities and the challenges facing our schools. The impact of cell phones and social media on the school day is something we must thoughtfully address together, as a community, in ways that support focus, learning, and healthy development. We must also work collaboratively to improve attendance and ensure our schools remain safe, secure, and welcoming. I believe that by partnering with families, educators, and community leaders, we can strengthen KP’s culture, support student success, and ensure our district remains a competitive and desirable choice for local families.
